WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY AT JUDGES COUNTRY HOUSE HOTEL IS A DREAM WITH GREAT STAFF, GREAT GARDENS AND LOTS OF NOOKS AND CRANNIES IN THE MAIN HOTEL FOR LOVELY RELAXED NATURAL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHS.
Joanne and Alan's wedding at Judges at Kirklevington, Yarm in Cleveland was a small, relaxed and intimate Sunday wedding at this premier wedding venue on the borders of North Yorkshire and the north east of England.
They wanted totally stress free natural photography from their wedding service and at their wedding breakfast, but knew that I wouldn't forget those all important family photographs.
As I am at most of my weddings for between eight and ten hours, there's lots of time for 'groups' that Mum's and Dad's and grandparents rightly 'need', so we have plenty of time to really get into the spirit of the day, and enjoy a great day of celebration - and Judges Country House Hotel is just the place for that!
Joanne and her mum and sister were all busy having their hair and make-up completed when I arrived two hours before her wedding to Alan, and everyone was sooo relaxed!
Having said that, not long after I arrived the first bottle of wine was open so the preparations were full of fun and happiness.
Alan arrived about 45 minutes before the civil ceremony and he too was remarkably relaxed - they were boith just so looking forward to their marriage and sharing it with their closest family and friends!
There was time for a few photographs with the bridesmaids and with the lovely flower girl Phoebe as well as with Mum and dad for Joanne before we headed to get married - unfortunately it was raining quite heavily, so the lovely people from Judges transported the girls - including the bride-to-be to the next annexe where the wedding was taking place.
There was time to whisper 'Time to get Married' to Alan as I took my place at the front of the room at Judges in time for Joanne to walk slowly down the aisle to Alan's side!
There were a few comedy moments - see the photographs, and all of a sudden it was celebration drinks and canapes - the heavy rain keeping us inside instead on in the gardens ... but we were hopeful!
I let everyone get a good hour of fun and congratulations underway before I even suggested a few family photographs for Joanne's grandparents, then we just sailed through some happy formal photographs over about 10 minutes or so, so guests and the bride of groom had time for another drink and relax before they were all called for their wedding breakfast!
The food was top quality as ever at Judges (many thanks!!) and the speeches took no time at all after dessert, before we all poured out into SUNSHINE!
Everyone was ready to stretch their legs and take in some fresh air and that's exactly what we did. We had some fun. we caught up on a few family and friends photographs, we did a nice group photograph with the 45 or so guests and soon enough it was time to throw the bride's bouquet when evening guests arrived, before cutting the cake and the first dance took us to 9pm ....
I thanked Alan and Joannne's parents and grandparents for their kind hospitality and headed towards the door before remembering to have my photograph taken with my bride for my Facebook page.
One man at the door on my way to the car park said: "I didn't realise you were a professional wedding photographer, I thought you were a friend of the family...."
Then it worked, I thought to myself as I walked away ... just keeping it all calm and relaxed and natural, means that I can capture some really nice images which tells the story of a great day of celebration!
I hope you enjoy this sneak peek of some of their 300+ wedding photographs which tells the story of the day
