Rachel and Adrian's wedding at Judges Country House Hotel near Yarm in Cleveland .. such a great day for them, their family and friends!
But they just HATE having their photograph taken ... so, potentially a problem?
Many of my brides and grooms HATE having their photographs taken .... Can you believe that ?
But it's true, and I think MANY people on their wedding day HATE having their photographs taken, honestly.
Some of my prettiest brides and some of my coolest grooms, just feel faint at the thought of having their photographs taken and having to 'perform'
They know how important the day is, not just for their family and friends, but for themselves too .. it's just that, well, they don't want to be stood around all day having 'official photographs' taken and whisked away from their own wedding so that the 'wedding photographer' can  create 'amazing' wedding images.
But there IS another way for those brides and grooms who DREAD having their photographs taken.
Adrian and Rachel are the nicest people, and an attractive couple, but they just wanted to have a great day, free from distractions of 'traditional' wedding photography .. so, as ever, I just let them and their closest family and friends just get on and have a great day of celebration.
I worked with them and their parents throughout the day and any grandparents, to make sure we capture those 'record' shots too ... we just keep things chilled and relaxed, we have all day to make those images.
When I arrived at Rachel's family home, all was cool and calm .. none of that Bridezilla nonsense you see on television.
Rachel had experienced her 'wobble' the day before, had apologised to everyone (!) and was now 'in the zone' .. Steph and Fiona, her two bonkers bridesmaids were going to make sure she stayed there .. whatever happened!
The wedding dress was perfect for Rachel, lots of detail, but classical .. the best way for many!
Her Mum and Dad were great fun, but legendary florist Adam Prest stole the show when he delivered the beautiful flowers ..... "I LOVE your moisturisation Karen" he said to Rachel's mum .. 
I should have turned around and gone home then to be honest, I can't compete with that sort of customer experience!
Soon I was on my way to meet with Adrian and his family at St John the Baptist Church in Eaglescliffe, a beautiful Norman style church dating from 900 years ago.
Adrian looked cool and calm, though 5 minutes before Rachel came down the aisle he needed a little fresh air as it was SUCH a warm day during such an awful summer in the UK.
Rachel arrived looking quite stunning, her father looking very proud.
There was an opportunity to photograph them coming together at the front of the church which was nice and before long it was kisses and cuddles time outside the church in the sunshine (a bonus!) with a few moments for a confetti shot, then I borrowed the happy couple for 3 minutes exactly for some images inside church for family, before we headed off to Judges Country House Hotel for their wedding reception.
The hotel was looking it's very best in the sunshine, and, after photographing zero weddings here in the last three years, this was my third wedding to photograph in 5 weeks this year - funny how weddings come in 'clumps' .. especially as I travel across the UK and abroad for weddings nowadays.
A few 'official' photographs for Mums and Dad's and the Thank You card, and they were away for the rest of the day to have a great time.
Sunshine makes a BIG difference to photographs, more often in the eye of the people viewing them than the photographer, but after the shocking weather this summer (again) and a pretty bleak winter, it was great to have the opportunity to take photographs in what passes for summer in this country.
Lots of natural photographs of friends and relatives and Rachel and Adrian chilling on the lawns and in the gardens before we headed inside for the wedding breakfast (thanks folks!), some REALLY entertaining speeches and great food, which still left time for a few more family photographs and 5 minutes with Rachel and Adrian who were so happy and relaxed they forgot that they hate having their photographs taken!
So.... back inside for the cake cutting, the first dance, and a quick gallop around the tables filled with new evening guests to thank Rachel and Adrian, and their parents for their hospitality before I headed off home to see my wife and daughter.
A great day for the happy couple!
