Faye and Tim are such lovely people and it was my pleasure to photograph them naturally as they enjoyed their wedding with their closest family and friends.
The majority of their wedding photographs, like for most of my wedding clients, were taken as they interacted and reacted with people they loved, with very few posed images allowing them to relax and enjoy a great day together.
Even on our pre-wedding portrait shoot together, they preferred not to have any photographs taken together as they were nervous as kittens, but as you see in my photographs below, they LOVED their wedding day and were totally relaxed!
I caught up with Faye at her family home as she was getting ready for the day. Stylists The Edge Hair and Beauty and the delightful Amanda Bell Elite Make-Up artist were busy with Fay and the bridesmaids so it was easy to get lots of nice chilled-out photographs as the morning progressed.
It was lovely to see Ellen from Destiny Bridal who also offers a very personal service like myself and comes along to dress the bride, and with an outstanding wedding gown from Brides Desire from Australia.
Faye was really enjoying the build-up and enjoyed a glass of champagne or two as well while her Mum and Dad were really relaxed too and looking forward to the days entertainment and fun!
A quick photograph of Ellen and the bride and bridesmaids before I dashed off to Sacred Heart Church in Redcar close to the sea front where I met Tim, who was remarkably relaxed, together with his 'wingmen' for the day.
The priest was happy to work with me and allowed me access to the front of the church which is always kind of them as it allows me to complete the bridal walk with her father as well as their first glance at each other and the exchange of rings.
Faye and her bridesmaids and Mum arrived in the lovely Love Dub campervan and VW Beetle in bright sunshine and blue skies - fabulous for an October weekend!
Fay's smile was beaming as she caught sight of her husband to be as she came down the aisle, while Tim's face was a real photograph - so I took it!
Soon enough, the vows were made, the rings were on and we were back in the sunshine for kisses and cuddles, back-slaps and bear hugs, before we all headed off for 40 minute drive to the location for the wedding breakfast and reception - Grinkle Park Hotel.
Heavy clouds awaited us when we arrived so most people settled in at the lovely rooms and around the bar, but soon enough, Faye and Tim and the bridesmaids headed outside and their friends and relatives followed, and then the sun came out! Hurrah!
Time for a few quick family photographs and then we headed in for some crackin' speeches, tears for Faye and a beautiful meal (thank you folks!)
Soon enough, evening guests were arriving, so it was good to get some nice informal images of friends and neighbours and work colleagues for Tim and Faye before the first dance got underway - and it was a 'proper' first dance - so nice and wonderful with a 'lift' at the end as well as the happy couple took the applause!
Everyone else joined in the dancing, and shortly after I made my farewells, thanking both sets of parents for their hospitality and friendship, and Tim got a man-hug and there was a kiss and a cuddle for the lovely Faye .. they were heading off for their MiniMoon to Anglesey the next day.
