Christine and Mark were married in their home town of Hartlepool with the wedding ceremony at the ancient church of St Oswald, a landmark in the ancient and historic town on the north east coast of England.
I had first met with them more than a year before when they were making their plans, and kept in touch on Facebook and by email whenever Christine needed help or advice as the big day came closer.
Their pre-wedding portrait shoot was with their lovely daughter  and it was good to catch up and talk about their wedding day.
The first real summer we have enjoyed for many, many years was in full swing when the wedding weekend arrived, with temperatures of 25 degrees already in the mid-day sun as I arrived to a bustling house as Christine readied herself for the wedding just 2 hours later.
her Mum was there to steady the nerves, though it appeared that her nerves were way more prevalent than Christine's who was to sail through the day.
her Mum and brothers were to walk her down the aisle, having lost her father, so it was to be an emotional moment.
Christine had also told me that she was going to do her best to make a speech about her father during the day, more tears to come..

Once her dress was one, the fiddly threading of the straps and especially  her jewellery proved problematic for a little while, even my photographers fingers couldn't help out there .. too short and stubby!
Soon enough, all were ready - the bridesmaids included in their lovely 'Racing Green' dresses so it was time for a few quick formal images with Mum and brother and 'the girls' before I headed off across town to greet Mark at the church.

Mark, as I thought was thoroughly nervous, not really about the service, but about his speech, but luckily 'the boys' and his best man kept him together, and in the end it was  a problem with a sudden rainstorm and the open top car AFTER it had dropped off the bridesmaids, that led Christine to be 22 minutes late!
Luckily the vicar was a lovely chap, and he spent much of his time chatting with his daughter who had run along the path from the vicarage to say hello!
Once Christine was by Mark's side, all went swimmingly, particularly a wonderful speech from her tiny daughter Emily, and soon we were back out in the sunshine before heading to the historic Grand Hotel in town where the wedding breakfast was to be.
My evening wedding celebrations at my own wedding 29 years ago were in the grand ballroom, and it was perhaps the first or second time I had been back there, so there was definitely a sense of deja-vue, and it was good to see the place looking so lovely.
There was time for some nice relaxed photographs of the guests and the bride and groom enjoying themselves before the speeches, where Mark did really well with his speech, despite his nerves, and I wil never know how Christine managed to make her own speech about her father ..  there were many tears from everyone but Christine, including mine!
It was just the wedding they wanted and, in the main, they were really relaxed and chilled out.
I hope you enjoy this Sneak Peek, all their photographs will be available to view HERE once they are back from their honeymoon - the bride and groom and their parents will have the passwords.
