Kirsty promised herself a fairytale wedding at Wynyard Hall Country House Hotel - and she delivered BIG style.
She and her husband Chris are the nicest, sweetest people you could ever meet - and a true bond of people who really are meant to spend the rest of their lives together!
As a full-time professional wedding photographer, recommendations are very important indeed, and much of my strictly limited amount of weddings I photograph each year, come from recommendations from previous brides and grooms, or family members whose weddings I have photographed in the past.
Indeed, many of my weddings nowadays seem to have a previous bride and groom on the guest-list, and Kirsty and Chris' wedding at Wynyard Hall was no exception.
We had enjoyed a great pre-wedding portrait shoot on the beach a few weeks before, so when it came to the day, we were not strangers and I had also met with Kirsty's Mum previously at a Wynyard hall wedding fair, so I knew it would be a chilled out, relaxed wedding full of fun and happiness - and so it came to be.
Kirsty's house was full of pink when I arrived, with bridesmaids everywhere getting their hair and make-up completed and I felt a little sorry for Kirsty's Dad, plunged into this sea of pink giggling and deliriously excited young ladies.
A huge box of gifts and goodies and champagne had been delivered from her husband-to-be in a personalised cargo box and the champagne was flowing freely - what a happy atmosphere to work in!
Once the bridesmaids had put on their beautiful peach dresses, they had the time to get Kirsty into her stunning Jasmine Bridal Couture wedding gown from Miranda Marie Bridal Boutique in Yarm.
This was accompanied by a beautiful Jenny Packham headpiece and bracelet, and she really did look like a fairytale princess!
Chris looked really chilled out in The Mirror Room when I caught up with him and his best man Chris. I photographed the best man's sister's wedding at Crathorne Hall a few years ago too - so it was nice to catch up!
The guests were assembled, all looking very glamorous, so all we needed was a fairytale princess - and who should turn up on time in her coach and horses?
Kirsty was still very excited and DESPERATE to see Chris - and when their eyes met across the aisle, there was hardly a dry eye in the house at the end of the ceremony!
The weather wasn't brilliant, but at Wynyard Hall, there's lots of room to chill out and relax which is exactly what they did.
I borrowed the main members of the party after an hour or so for some quick happy family groups, then it was off to the wedding breakfast for them with speeches to follow.
The room was beautifully set out, and the flowers and beautiful central 'trees' decorated with lovely little glass baubles with candles inside, were provided, like Kirstys beautiful bouquet of white peonies by Wild and Wonderful Flowers.
Kirsty, Chris and I headed off for 10 minutes for a few quick portraits and then, all of a sudden, it was cutting the cake and first dance time at Wynyard Hall.
When I headed off home after 9pm the party was just starting for my fairytale princess and her handsome prince - What a great day for their family and friends - and all caught in 'live action' by AG Productions - a truly professional wedding videographer team of Andrew and Gail.... see their Highlights video below
