TYNEMOUTH WEDDING - PORTRAIT SESSION WITH CHARLOTTE AND ALEX

Pre-wedding portrait sessions are an important part of the build up to me covering your great wedding day celebrations.

Our photography session is usually 6-12 months before your wedding, and it's a time for us to be able to bond a little and get a feel for each other and for you to have some great photographs taken!

It's often the second or third time we have met and it's always good to spend some more time together - so that when it comes to your wedding day we're not strangers to each other and you can worry about the best man's drinking problem or whether your mum's wedding hat will fly away in the wind .... you won't be worrying about me and whether I capture the atmosphere and fun of your wedding!

This week I had a great time photographing Charlotte and Alex at Tynemouth, it was a little late, and the sun never made an appearance (no change there then ...) but we had a wander about and had a laugh and a chat and took lots of photographs.

I hope you agree - they're a great looking couple and I'm so looking forward to their wedding in Tynemouth and then on to Blackfriars Restaurant in Newcastle for the reception and evening celebrations!

FANTASTIC NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE WEDDING OF SHAZAD AND MASHRUFA AT THE ASSEMBLY ROOMS

I was photographer at Mashrufa and Shazad's wedding at The Assembly Rooms in Newcastle on Sunday .. and what a great day it was too.
The Muslim wedding ceremony was the night before, and such is the way with these things, they were married seperately from each other by the Imam, but came together for the BIG celebration with family and friends at The Assembly Rooms in Newcastle.
It was a colourful noisy and sometimes chaotic wedding compared to a traditional western ceremony, but there were smiles all around and lots of nice photographs to be created.
It is different again to a Western wedding where there is normally one photographer. At this wedding there were THREE photographers commissioned by the two families and TWO videographers ........ so it got a bit crowded at times.
I hope you like some of the first images I have edited!

My latest wedding news and photographs HERE:

Proposal Photography

Proposal Photography is becoming more popular in the USA according to the New York Times in a recent article.
I think that as long as the fiancee-to-be and the photographer think it through properly this could work out really well for a couple - especially if we create a small hardback photobook from the event.

Pre-wedding commissioned photography comes with all our wedding photography options and these have always proved popular, whether they are with just-engaged couples or prospective brides and grooms who have been together many years.

It's a time for us to bond a little, get to know more about your hopes and dreams for the big day, and also to create some really nice relaxed images of you both together.

BUT, if you fancy having your big moment when you propose to the love of your life captured forever, I'd love to be there!

Ring photograph (what a ring!!) courtesy of Teedah and Ajey's wedding at Slaley Hall in Northumberland!

... AND, according to a survey - doncha love surveys.... :) Ernest Jones Jewellers says that 67% of under 29 year olds popped the BIG question with a ring, aaaahhhhhh, romance isn't dead!
